====APRS Station====
An APRS Station is a collection of equipment that participates in the [[Main_Page|APRS]] system. A station has the ability to handle digital packet traffic which conforms to the [[AX.25|AX.25 Specification]].

A station has a name or identifier which is a [[CallSign|callsign]] followed by an SSID. The station's name needs to be unique in it's sphere of operation. Most folks use their [[CallSign|Amateur Radio callsign]] as the character part of their APRS station name. For example: '''N0CZK-4'''

Transmit delay and audio level are set with pots inside the unit. At this time there are two accessory daughter boards which fit inside the unit - An aprs tracker and a digipeater board. The unit also has provisions for a USB serial port built in.
