APRS in Search and Rescue

APRS can be very useful to SAR (Search and Rescue) and CAP (Civil Air Patrol) missions.

Imagine having aircraft/helicopters with a tracker so you can see their grid search pattern back at the ICP (Incident Command Post) and easily see gaps in the search pattern.

Also imagine having at least one two-way tracker per field team, allowing each team to see the position of every other team plus allowing the ICP to see the positions of all teams. It's easy to verify that a team is searching their correct section, plus easy to divert teams to meet up with other teams.
